Today nothing special happened, except that this past few weeks we have been experiencing freaky weather, maybe it's the "Greenhouse Effect".
Anyways this morning was quite foggy & the old folks saying its going to be very hot day, does not apply nowadays. By mid-day there was a slight drizzle in KB. The afternoon we saw heavy clouds glooming over KB skies.
Left the office around 7pm. There was a very light drizzle over KB, when I reached Sg Liang, thats when the rain starts to get really serious, there was water puddles everywhere. Being the accident prone area so well known in Brunei, I slowed down to neary 60 kmph, every car was being cautious. I was even dreaming of a better route to KB but reality is still so far away so I just stayed focused on one of the most hazardous road in Brunei.
Finally reached Telisai & the rain was gradually subsiding, Thank God!
Upon reaching the new 2 lane in Bukit Beruang, the skies opened up again this time with it was really really heavy rain, Visibility is virtually up to your windscreen, traffic was nearly at a standstill, the only guide was the white reflective centre markers & the red railing marker. I were practically driving in 3rd & 4th gear.
Anyways reached home safely after driving 1hr 10 mins in some freaky weather, was an experience worth blogging.
In a Nutshell, We need more lighting along the way to KB, while waiting for the much rumoured new Highway to start construction. Most of all, we need more responsible drivers out there!
That all for today's blog!
Take care, drive safely, responsibly & don't forget to buckle up!!
