The return home!!

Hi all, This is a long overdued post anyways here goes!! The ride home!
We woke up that morning on the 13th June2011, after the BIIBBF and started our ride back home @ 7.15am. It was raining moderately but enough to wet my pants & shirt! We stopped over for fuel at the putatan shell station where I think is the last shell station to sell the RON97 fuel. After refueling we continued the journey to beaufort, which was almost 70km during which we only encountered inttermittent mist of rain! We arrived at beaufort at 9.00 had our breakfast for almost 1hrs, the next stop will be the customs check point at sindumin where we will be departing the sabah side n enter the sarawak side and was also where the famouse quote of "after this the roads will be better" NOT!! Hehehe after the next check point at lawas & entered brunei at Temburong where we refueled Arriving at limbang around 12.30 for lunch. We continued riding back to brunei via 2.15pm where we said our goodbyes! I arrived home at exactly 3.15pm and just relaxed thinking of the good times in KK!!

Salam all,
Its the 2 day of the BIIBF today in KK.
Well yesterday we rode to KK, woke up at 3:30 and started to ride from the house at 4:30, reached the brunei border at 5++ and started the ride after 6:00 as soon as the border is open.
The 1st stopover was after all the passports have been chopped which was at sipitang.
After which we started to ride to kk and reached the destination was at 14:00hrs.
In the afternoon we went to centrepoint to window shop!! And stopped at Starbucks to rest! After that we had a late supper opposite api-api complex and the nasi lalapan was nice!!

Salam all,
Today I woke up earlier than usual hoping to send of an IMC brother at the airport doing his further studies in KL, but alas I was too late and missed his departure. To Brother Hadi @ badak you take care & study hard!!
Well I went to the yamaha dealer to send over my roadstar for general maintenance before the long trip to KK this Friday!! And replaced the engine and transmission oil on which for some reason a brother denies of the existance of a seperate transmission reservior for the roadstar which was proven otherwise by the mechanics there.

While waiting for my bike we went to the mall where we had my fave food which was 1/2 chicken with home made fries @ sbinathi kebab. The food was fantastic and the tea which was a herbal one was also soothing for the tummy :)

On my ride back home it was drenched due to the unpridictable weather here in brunei.

In the evening had a small barbeque session with my little brother and the kids!! After barbequeing the chicken, potatoes , sausages and grilling the Burgers, adi decided to grill an unripe banana which to him tasted like tapioca!!
I had a great day today with friends and family!!

Salam all,
Continued the wedding episode of my wife's 1st cousin at jerudong n sent to kiudang! Although it was a hot day with inttermitten cloudy shades, everything went well as planned!! Again congratulations to Hj Shahrin on your wedding day today!!

In the afternoon there was an electricity outage in my area which started @ 15:45 & ended around 20:20. While waiting for the electricity I managed to harvest banana tree!! Chit-chat with my little brother n had a nice candle light dinner with my loved ones!!!

And this is haziq trying to draw the candle light in the dark using the LED torchlight, hence the different light source!!

Today went to jerudong then to masjid Kg Kiudang to attend a nikah of my wife's 1st cousin, to Md Shahrin congrats on your nikah!!

Went to watch the pirates of the caribbean ~ on stranger tide @ the empire cinema today. It was agood sequel to the previous pirate movies... and so the story goes!!!
After the movie we went to the icebar and shabu-shabu at kiulap and we had our dinner there. After dinner we thought that we would stopby the new waterfront in the heart of BSB, but it was raining and we decided to go home!

Salam all,
Well, it looks like I'm starting to blog again! Anyways yesterday, I went to the empire cinema to watch the 5th episode of the Fast n Furious movie which was entitled Fast Five, its a good movie with a good storyline n the driving!! I rate that movie 8/10.
Today,
my IMC Brother called up and mentioned about a ride to the Harley Dealership, after which we had our late lunch at Thien Thien Kiulap. We then went to timesquare with another brother as a pillion. After watching the sunset from Timesquare we rode back to Indies then home! It was a fun filled day of riding n chit-chatting with the brothers!!
Quote of the day: A Brother is not necessarily bonded by blood n being bonded by blood does not make u a Brother!!! Untill my next post!!!

Salam all,
Nothing special on this post but I'm just accustomizing myself to start blogging again.
Well yesterday I went to the kiulap cineplex to watch Kung-fu Panda 2, it's a good movie to watch with the family. Thank you to my little brother (adee) for the movie treat, it was well worth it. After the movie we went to excapade kiulap @ regent square, ther service was fair I'm guessing the it was because of the steady flow of hungry customers keeping them preoccupied to really provide the normal services :). On the way back home I was coughing profusely and I decided to gulp down a large dose of cough medicine(actifed) which made me sleep like a log upon arrival home. Untill my next update.

Salam All im Back!!! After 1 year in-haitus.. Alot have happened since!!
Tech Wise.. I have migrated from the old Symbian based phone to the Android based phone
on of the most affordable & value for money is the LG Optimus One or P500. You can read the the review here!

Another No-frills Android phone packed with features will be from samsung which you can also read from here!

Softwares that i current have installed on my phone for Texting/messenger between cross platforms phones are,

1. Whatsapp - Although abit laggy but i get the message through on all platforms including nokia & blackberry. Trail for 1 year that licence fee for us$1.99
2. Live Profile - Blazing fast but does not support nokia. (my username is Hasrin.hb)this software is free
3. kik messenger - Supports only Iphone & Android, really really fast and seldom lags! (username is hasrin.hb)this software is free
4. Pingchat - Sometimes lagged up to one whole day .. Currently removed from my phone!

I have come to realize that my fingers is too big for the normal touch pad.. so now the wife have bought me the new Samsung Galaxy Pro, which is a blessing for me.. less Typo and i can say even the screen is not as big as the other smart phones but at least im most comfortable with my phone without switching to the Blackberry.. Thanks my Dear wife for the wonderful present.

4. My Nokia e72 Review( Nearly 6 Months after Buying)

I just simply love Nokia phones and this is the latest of my Mobile Gadget adventures.
firstly the new Nokia e72 is an upgrade of the famouse e71.. with 2 major difference..
1: 5Mp camera 2:3.5mm Headphone jacks. The rest basically remains unchanged.

Currently i have installed The Gmail Mobile for my emails, The Ovi Chat & Palringo for chatting, Facebook mobile for e72, Twitter & my favorite Snaptu which all works perfectly.

Currently im fiddling with the new GPS mapping software which is Waze, U can post your location via Foursquare and notify your friends on facebook or twitter, with enough users this powerful map software can be used to inform users on Roadblocks, Speedcams which is shared across the network via live chat.

I upload my mobile photos using an extension for my E72 using Furtiv.

Other Softwares are just random trial & error installation.

I just love the speed of the e72 & looks like i wont be changing phones soon.

5. Upgrading to other OS - Ubuntu UNR

As promised, this is the 1st update of my blog.. and its all about upgrading to other OS. well here goes....
I bought an Acer Aspire one Model Number ZG5, which has no HDD just an 8GB ram & comes pre-installed with Linpus Linux (free linux distribution, I was actually quite happy with the linpus. until i decided to crack it, but soon i forgot the Admin password and made upgrading the required software fruitless. I was Stuck!!
A friend of mine reformatted this netbook and installed Win XP pro, which made it more useless. Start-up took almost 5 minutes and surfing each page took almost 1 minutes to load.
I finally took the leap and upgraded to Ubuntu 9.10 (UNR - Ubuntu netbook remix). It was worth the upgrade. and i am loving every usage .. just Slight lag and configuration is as simple as using Windows.

If u have an old Laptop, loves to experiment and just want to surf the net with it and maybe the occasional Word or Spreadsheet, this distro is for you.

Today we tried to visit cha Aziz at sinaut but he was not Home, then we drove to Keriam to Cha Hak's place he was avail..after which we went to Bu yus at panchor ucu malee was also not in and the final stop was to my mentor's place at bukit ambuk Mr Ho :))
Another incident happened today .. I was nearly struck by a firework with the fireworks exploding just 1 feet away from me.. the 1st shot was ok and it toppled aiming straight towards where my in-law, haziq and yours truly was lazin around playing fire works... Luckily only my Cara melayu was Holey and nothing happened to my hair.. my ears was still ringing because of the really close explosion! ALHAMDULILLAH i am still here to blog about my close encounters of a firework exploding only feets away from my face :)

Salam All,
It been ages since my last post, Well 1stly i would like to say Happy birthday to my Beloved Wife, her birthday was actually on the 18th April 2009, and it seems like im the last to greet her this year hehehehe.

Anyways i have been refining my photography and I am currently in the Macro Fever mode..
Work wise I am doing the Champion CPCA campaign, which is only filling in for the designated planning enginner who is currently offshore. I am also helping my Supervisor do the Ampa-6 preparations and also getting the Plan ready for the Tali-fields winter campaign.
If they decide to assigne the champion campaign to me.. that means Goody by during puasa and Hari raya, i will be offshore at that time... the campaign will run for 54 days! and continued with the Tali fields campaign after.. which will be 9 days.

Enough about work here are some samples of my macro shots taken on various dates.

Ok, Now I am currently staying onboard the Work barge Lewek Conqueror for my 3rd trip this month, I am actually doing the planning for the CP-07 shutdown which is happening today!. this event marks the Start of the shutdown and that i Have another 2 weeks to go during my campaign. But alas I have the upcoming Ampa6 to monitor.

Anyways, the pictures of my duty offshore can be seen on my Photoblog, and this trip i did not bring my camera!

Sunday,
I attended a wedding of my ex-colleague at the dewan muhibbah, i met a lot of friends and had a great time during the reception(no pictures was taken, there were 6 photogs covering the event)

After the wedding me and the missus went to the international book fair to buy a new Novel for my lovely missus.

Firstly I would like to say Happy Birthday to my Kid Brother Md Hasyadee a very Happy Big Three 'O'..Birthday, Semoga Panjang Umur n d Murahkan & d mudahkan rezeki.

After a hectic week at work, this is the day that i anticipate the most, Saturday!
A day to relax and have some quality time with my little boy!
That morning we had breakfast at the Restoran Mirah at Tutong, I managed to snap a few portraitures of the boy!

In the afternoon i disassembled my bike's handlebar and installed in on Emels bike, wow that bike looked sweet using that bar!!! After which we had a photography session, playing with my new lens the 80-200 F2.8.

1st March 2009, Pusat Ehsan Coloring competition

Salam all,
Well today, I did some volunteering at the Pusat Ehsan al-ameerah at Bengkurong, a coloring competition was being held and they needed an event photographer, without hesitation I just took it up.
Anyways to cut the story short, doing photo shoots at the Pusat Ehsan was rewarding.
I later heard for the staff at the centre, the laughter and joy of the students watching their pictures on a projector, I was overjoyed!

we participated in the Merdeka Ride for the Palestine charity, Which overall consisted of average 131 bikes. We were appointed as Media, So i had to ride my bike really really fast at 140kmph with my lovely missus as the photographer!
We enjoyed the ride knowing we were riding while contributing to the people in need!

The usual L&G its been like ages since my last update in the blog.
yeah, so far this year my work responsibilities have been really hectic, still trying to balance out work & life, which is now not really balanced = Work is Monday to friday, life is now saturday & sunday hehehehehehe.

Things that have happened since my last post.
I had another wedding assignment which was my sister-in-law's wedding on the 1st of february, did the prewedding on the 26th February 2009. In between the period i managed to do some henna designs on my wife, the bride & some of my sister-in-laws and also some cousins.

Me and the baby was scouting the newly discovered cafe at Lubok pulau, it is called Pachi-Machi, The location is in Kg Lubuk Pulau opposite the Kendo practice place.
The baby just loved the trip with lots of small boats along the riverside.

Nothing much have happened since my last post, except that i did not update my BSB photography outing last week well i will list it down in reverse order!

27th December 2008,
Basically stayed at home with the kids, Just did some sunset shots in the evening.

26th December 2008,
We went to BSB to checkout the photography shop in Manggis, It looks lke all the hype is just overated, when i arrived there nothing could be seen, Rose photo in tutong have more accessories than Them, hehehehe.We also visited the mall while waiting for my best buddy to call and set the outing for the night shot venue.

25th December 2008,
It was christmas and a public holiday in Brunei Darussalam, we went to the Tamu tutong to shoot some photos. (will post the pictures later)

Yes I am back from my offshore duties which was cut short reason being my services is required urgently at the office ;)

Salam all,
This might be my last post for 2008, I am going offshore today @ 12 noon maybe for 8 week or maybe untill the end of this year! Anyways here goes!

Saturday 6th December 2008
Went for breakfast with the kids and we were later joined by Emel at WYWY, after breakfast i went to get a pedicure and we did some shopping for my bag (need to get a bigger one).
Afternoon we went to Hua Ho to buy my toiletries bag, actually just bought the makeup bag which is cheaper.. hehehehe. Dinner we had nasi katok serembangun which is really yummy!

1 st day offshore today, staying in lewek conqueror. 1st December 2008.
The biggest barge among our fleet of vessels With a acomodation capacity of 308 Crane capacity of 800tonnes.
This stay is part on the "familiarization" of my ongoing scheme to be the offshore planner for SKSWood, 1 question still remains unanswered,
am i going to be the "offshore planner" or are they just going to let me be a "trainee planning engineer" a position that 1 of my ex-colleague have been for 3 years untill
he resigned from the company.

2nd day offshore,
did not eat any rice since yesterday lunch Just bread and the usual steak and lambchops.
Well today the weather picked up and we are already starting to roll.

3rd Day offshore,
Nothing special happened except that the weather is still as bad as can be, Heard the new that
all the other workboats are already taking shelter in Muara, weather report was squall up to 3 metres which translates to roughly 10 feet waves expected.

4th day offshore,
The weather calmed down abit and looks like the chopper can land on the Barge tomorrow, At night the weather was very calm with minimal winds, but we did have some heavy rain.

5th day offshore (going home today) 5th December 2008
the weather was raining but the sea was calm with 1-2 meters rolling, meaning the chopper can land directly on the helideck, or else i will have to haul 15kgs of my stuff through the platform,
5flights of stairs + another 2 flight towards the helideck on magpie01. Finally checked in the chopper at 12:30pm after 6hours wait on the barge.
I was picked up by my lovely wife and the baby.

The Morning or B4 noon My SIS called up for sunday outing at to BSB we had lunch at Guess where? and after that we went shopping at Yayasan in BSB.
The guys were riding to Temburong for the motorshow. Pm i was in JB to meet up with them and also the Borneo Headhunters bikers from Miri.

Morning,Brought the baby to Express Fast food for Breakfast where we had 2 super value snacks

After noon I was warming up the Bike after a washdown, I also managed to wash the Landcruiser, Dry Clean the Rangerover & polish. We rode to Hassan's Crib at Bukit udal. And used the back road to access back to Tanjong Maya, after dropping off sujee, me n el-kapitan rode back to Tutong.
We received an SMS saying that there was a last minute Birthday Surprise, So just showered, took my trusty Konica Minolta & Fuji and went to Uwa's place, to surprise her!
I will just let the pictures do the talking on this one!

Salam Guys!
Nothing much to blog today! Except that today i did not take pictures... much, only the family photo of Uncle Salim visiting us this morning, before we proceeded to Uwa Daud's open house.
Anyways guys we moved to jerudong at noon, we just managed to visit 2 houses at jerudong, we also stopped by at kupang to visit Angah omar but he was not at home, We also managed to stop by at Angah Aziz's place in sinaut!
In the afternoon we were visited by Izzul & hadi later they were joined by Ungal's family from bandar!
At night we visited Zulidin's open house! No pictures was taken with exeption of uncle salim/bu yus visiting us!
Tomorrow is a working day so u guys take care!!

3rd day Raya 04102008 - Part Deux

Salam Again,
Noon time we started to visit our relatives houses! here are the pictures!
1st Stop was at Ucu Malee's place, we had Soto while eating the soto i keep reminding myself, we have a lot of houses to visit! The soto was excellent which reminds me of what ozicozi once said "The soup is what makes the soto!"

2nd Stop was at Angah ishak's home, again i ate a delicious dish which was steamed fish!! that was really good, actually angah was M.I.A, but Bu Ing was there!

3rd stop was at Kak Hjh's place, I had like 4 cupcakes! I was in Cupcake & chocolate heaven!! out of the four only the 1st cupcake was the most fudgy.. Yummy. The rest was the ones in the picture below!! Even as i am writing this blog (tais liur eh) I can still remember the blissfull moments of biting into that super yummy cupcake!
errrr looks like i know where to goto if i have a Cupcake craving!! ehem!! Kak Hjh....hehehehehehe

Chocolate Heaven

4th stop was at Amit rahim's place at bengkurong, even though i was full i managed to eat 2 servings of their famous Laksam, Actually there was 5 types of soup/gravy with 4 types of noodles. We stayed there from 4pm until maghrib even then the baby was hesitant to go home!

5th Stop was at Uncle Awang's place at kilanas, actually we were lucky that they were home, in fact they have just arrived from visiting relatives in tutong! Did not take any pictures there my assistant was too occupied with the baby.

6th Stop was at Usu jais at jerudong but they were already out visiting relatives, maybe next time!

6th Stop Part 2 Abang Anwari/Kak Idang's place at keriam, Missed visiting last year, so today Alhamdulillah mission accomplished!

7th Stop was at achai's residence, the baby was already fast asleep! We had steamboat which i managed to fill a plate full of prawn shell, Mind you the prawns was large! meaning i finished maybe 8-10 large sized prawns!

Looks like a Triad meeting!

Alhamdulillah we reached home at 10PM, I was so happy to see Bro Duan was still at home visiting, So i did managed to catch up on the current issues! as the malay saying goes "masih nda cukup masa kan catch up" Next time bro!!

Had sungkai with the family at sengkarai! Sungkai went back home and just surfed the net... 22:00hrs, we went to the old JK restaurant (dunno the new name exactly) Had their delicious popia and drank the ABC, we were joined by emel, and we decided to go to the Tutong beach to take pictures using my new tripod!

what we initially planned was to take pictures of the halim plaza, turned into an outing where we experimented with lights! Still waiting for emel to upload the picts! Thanks bro!

Hey guys Salam,
Today is the 20th day of ramadhan, i slept at 9 am today and woke up at 3 pm, yeah dont be surprised, that is the norm during the fasting month especially in the weekend.
This morning i went out to shoot some nature shots, i will post the pictures later. and before sahur I was checking the all my emails.

Saturday, 20th September 2008.

Slept at 6am in the morning, hehhehhehehe i was also surfing the whole night. woke up at 3pm The guys was waiting for my arrival at JB, we have planned for the sungkai ride for Pemoda, I arrived at 4.45 at JB i met up with Tini, tanjong, sham and wan, we instantly rode to jerudong to meet up with the rest of the guys. upon arrival to jerudong they told us that the break of fast will be held at Kilanas, i could not recall name of the place, We had a good time have sungkai with the guys. After the sungkai we stayed back just to wait for haslan from tutong. We continued to chill when haslan arrived after which we witnessed an accident in front of the Kilanas masjid, this army guy ran a redlight and banged a corolla at the back which was alleged owned by the bilal of the masjid. Oh yeah i did see Uncle awang because he was at the masjid when the accident happened.

Salam All,
Its the eve of the Nuzul Al-quran Holiday, i am sitting at the ex-jumbo king restaurant connected via my trusty Zoom modem.
I have just came back from Rose Photo studio and with the very helpful tips from the owner Mr Joseph W S Han AKA Mr Han (highly recomended to get your photography gear at a premium price!!!!!), the Missus decided to buy me my Wish list lens, the premium brand Nikkor 50MM F1.8 lens, Thank you my Sweetheart! I am currently playing around taking non-flash pictures here and there heheheehehe. ( next in my wishlist is the Manfrotto Tripod *wink* *wink* hint!! to the Missus!!)
P.s The owner of Rose photo mentioned about my debut in the Local chinese newspaper and he also gave me the clippings of the new coverage which contains a picture of Yours truly with Haziq.

This noon i picked up my nephew from liang, upon arrival i was greeted by my 2 nephew and niece only Hazim is going to sleep over at Tutong, Syamim is busy with his teenage friends and mimi will be having her PSR exams this year and will be starting her extra tuition classes tomorrow.

Sunday 14th September 2008,
We has sungkai with my in-laws at the thye foodcourt in gadong, i had 2 servings of nasi katok mama, with an XL size orange+mango cordial. We were joined by BB+dd, Jurai + Dillah + lala. After sungkai we went to the Chinese temple for BFF night outing. After the group photo we went to the temple and started shooting pictures, I was a bit dissapointed because the challenge of the outing was to take pictures without the use of flash. Salam guys,
I was practically sleeping whole day today, woke up and installed my saddle bags on my bike.
we went to JB to meet up with the guys for the sungkai ride to bsb, upon arrival there were only three bikes, Haslan, Inon & panggal. tanjong later arrived after 5 minutes and later we were joined by emel.
We left JB at exactly 5PM with 4 bikes, me, tanjong emel n panggal. Enroute to bsb panggal's bike got into some engine trouble and he had to leave his champion(jaguh) there.
we soon came to to the venue with 10 minutes before sungkai, and the guys came.

After we had our sungkai , sujee wanted to watch the Man.u vs liverpool match at the Thye foodcourt!. it was all hectic when man.u scored their 1st goal. We left for tutong at exactly 9pm with Tanjong, idinin, emel, hassan, haslan & inon.

Friday,
The afternoon was another outing for the BFF members at the pasar gadong Tamu Ramadhan, Arrived late for the group photos, this is the second time i arrived late! duhh!... anyways the weather was abit cloudy to use the low ISO settings. time to pump up the ISO to 400. we went to the on the way back to the parking i heard the azan which marks the break of fast. We quickly went to the walkway under the bridge and had our sungkai. We also chilled out at Blue Eden to do post-mortem on the outing!

Salam All,
Today marks the 6th day of Ramadhan, Alhamdulillah. It like 1 almost 1 week without any updates! Well let start: Office hours we work from 7 till 2pm every Monday-Thursday which makes it 7 hours everyday! Fridays we knock-off at 12.
Today i just stayed at home! Had my Sungkai at my in-law's place. At night we lepakJB, there were emel, sujee, tanjong, coach n Hassan (congratulations for winning the brunei times photography competition 1st place in category people!) I brought along my laptop and my trusty Zoom broadband, i showed them my photoblog which was heavily commented by the champion hehehehe! While comments was made sujee was the unofficial translator (comments was in Tutong dialect) thank you Mr sujee!

Saturday, 6th September
Again did nothing the whole day and only went to bandar at 8.30 pm to go to hua-ho yayasan to see the lens filter for my s2 lens. To my dismay they only got the polarising filter which i just bought. We chilled at Blue eden (former Ahan Thai) at kiulap where i met up with some of the guys from BruneiForever forum, I did managed to congratulate 2 member which won 1st prize in celebration (God's Gift) and 1st prize in traditional (kulimpapat). Amirul and fiancee later joined us, we chit chatted untill 12.30.

Friday, 5th September

Today is the 1st day of ramadhan, Alhamdulillah I had dates, cucur kurma, tuna sandwich for the break of fast!
drinks wa only lemon tea. today i spent most of the day sleeping, yeah i know its makruh but im just accomodationg my body to the lack of nicotine. owh BTW i have just had my 1st cigarette of the day, being a smoker is a big curse during the fasting month! i will have to admit. To all my brothers and sister who do not smoke, salute! Tomorrow will be the 1st day at work. I have to be prepared for tomorrow with sahur and lots of dates. I must apologize for the lack of subjective post! Anyways my dear Brothers & sisters, Selamat Menunaikan Ibadah puasa!

Woke up today after a late night last night, After the AJM meeting which finished at 11.30 pm, we did stop by Jul JB for his Bar-be-Que.
Now i am at my little sister's place at Sengkarai, she was moving there from her previous flat to a bigger house!

Saturday 9th August 2008,
The morning i went to the Ex-amadeo auction there was load of super cars, there i mean most of the car on auction was V12, i mean 6 litres engines, mostly mercedes! How i wish fuel in brunei was extremely cheap! Other than V12 cars there was also, some japanese models namely the toyota soluna, corolla wagon/sedan, costing below 10k. and not forgeting the 3 Beach buggies! a Few limited sportbikes, a Harley and 4 goldwings(2 in limited edition colours).
Noon time we had lunch at the Thai food restaurant, and Thai food cooking is one of my favourite dishes, I ordered Squid with basil, mixed veggies and Tom Yum Soup, this menu resulted in me helping myself to another serving of rice and by the time i finished lunch, i was practically Stuffed!
Noon, we gathered at a restaurant opposite pizza hut, we had to wait for the other guys before riding to BSB for the Pemoda AJM.
As we arrived at BSB i finally had the opportunity to try out my wife's Konica Minolta using using wide angle lens and the externl flash! Check out the picts in this link:

Hi again,
it feels kinda queer blogging on a week day, But today is a special day. Haziq decided that he wants to have a night out with his friends. So i think i will let him have his time with his friends and we just "lepak"at the gerai perayaan in Tutong.
So here i am enjoying my "teh Tarik"with the kids, Hasbul Wafi and his Nanny, The baby and his nanny! At the moment the Hasbul wafi is pestering his abang with the 2 Giraffes that the baby chosen for them.
they are now actually changing the blow-up girraffes at the seller because the baby n his lil brother cannot decide what colour they like. I think they are going to change to identical ones! :)
Its already 7.51pm and the show have not started yet. My friend told me that most of the time the show will start around 8.30.

Today we went fishing again at the end of "kuala Tutong", no fish was harmed during the session hehehe.it is because we only caught 3 small fishes which was a baby puffer and 2 kirong-kirong, no pictures was taken.

The afternoon we went to JB and i just realised that i missed Hassan's wedding reception when the guys asked where i was. No wonder felt something was amiss.
Anyways as usual we rode to the beach!

Hi again,
Its saturday again, and today is kinda special, its the last day of school term 2. Haziq will end his exams and he can enjoy his school holidays without worries. Anyways i went baitcasting today at my usual spot at kuala tutong. The day was overcast but the water was cool which makes the fish lazy, or perhaps that is just another excuse for not being able to catch fish. Hehehehe
The afternoon i just stayed at home planning on the thing to bring if I went fishing tomorrow.
Late in the afternoon, the wife insisted that we go riding with the guys, we metup at JB around 5ish and waited for the rest of the guys. While waiting and checking out our bikes we realised that hassan's front tyres was flat. so he just rode off to patch his tyres. Then kadum came with a broken tail light, we asked him to goto the local repair shop to get it fixed. Wa waited for the repairs for around 2 hrs while inun also had a blown headlight fuse! What next?? Jul also found it hard to start his bike after idling for so long.

We met up with the guys from BSB at jerudong. Tamjong also met up with us there, when we moved he stayed there waiting for radin. We arrived safely at thye food court, i ordered nasi katok mama and fried chicken tail. Still waiting for tanjong n radin.

Hey all, I know i am getting lazy to blog. Well here goes, Today, I waked up abit late around 8am. So me and the Mrs just casually went to the end of the tutong river at Kuala Tutong to have breakfast that we have packed earlier & to go fishing, the mrs did bring the laptop and the zoom modem to test the signal at kuala tutong, check out her blog for fish pictures & the signal report!

Did not goto work, I had the Flu again, actually i have been holding back since last week! today i could not stand it any longer so i just took the day off!

Hey Guys,
It been a while since i blogged !
Anyways here goes.
Today we went to My late Grandfather's fish pond at Sembatang 2 times, the 1st time i forgot the Lures which make all the preparations useless! But the second time it was nearly noon so the fishes was only playing at the surface and refuses to bite! On the way back home i bought popsicles the asam flavour, which brings back memories of my growing up! It is still 0.20cents with a different wrapper!
The Mrs is attending a wedding reception at the Asma Hotel with her sisters!

Friday,
Brought the kids and the 2 nannies for breakfast at our favourite spot at the Sungai Bbasong! After the friday prayers we had ambuyat at Uwa Idang's place after that we went to DST to change the simcards our mobile phones.
At night we went for a family gathering at Angah Omar's place, had dinner and the karaoke was in session. We left there around 11 pm.

Hey there guys,
I have been quite lazy in posting to my blog recently, this is due to the extra hectic work that I have this past few month! Still adjusting to the ever growing new work responsibilities! Compared to my previous responsibility in the contracts department against my present position as a Planner Analyst Assistant, Working with the contracts/commercial team was a "walk in park" sorta like a working holiday!

Anyways,Sunday morning i waked up feeling undecided, i was still thinking weather to go to limbang for the BIBBF (Borneo International Big Bike Festival). Which later i just dismissed the idea of riding my bike for this weekend. We went for brunch at the GS seafood restaurant in the middle of Tutong. Haziq as usual was very delighted to see his dad staying home and enjoying the weekend with them!
In the afternoon as usual i just stayed home, Mohd taught me how to configure my Upgraded linux Ubuntu for wireless detection. It was a success! I was excited that my laptop with the dual operating system of Ubuntu 8.04 & the Window XP was working flawlessly. Next project is to Update the drivers for the Desktop and look for the "Grub" setting to recover back the lost data in the vista and possibly recover vista!
I also managed to draw my wife's hands with this design!
Anyway guys if have an old unused laptop using the DDR2 ram and have it lying around just sell it to me!Saturday morning I brought the baby for some window shopping, he took the liberty of buying himself a new "postman Pat " activity book which he tore up later in the day as a sign anger & he also bought a Mickey Mouse sticker booklet which he later used to decorate the living room wall and furniture!
The afternoon, emel called up and mentioned there were some bikers for Sibu. We also accompanied them to the harley dealership. Emel rode the Hardcore Bike, Sujee was riding the scooter with Dazlyn as pillion! and yours truly was also riding two-up with my the Mrs! On the way the scooter acted up and just died. It was actually a fuel depletion caused by the manifold leak! I simply just started the scooter an we back on our way! We stayed at the harley dealership around 1 hrs and we rode back to tutong again!
after fetching haziq from ugama school i went to "kuala tutong" again to do some fly fishing! Caught nothing BTW!
At night i did some henna on my wife's hands!

Woke up late again, I think its the exhaustion from yesterday's activities! haziq asked weather we were going any where today. so we decided to go to bandar with the kids. we used acai's landcruiser for that day outing with the kids. The first stop was the giant shopping mall at rimba, I was impressed with the size of the shopping mall, the layout was also not bad. we had brunch (breakfast + lunch) at KFC, the taste of the chicken was good, perhaps it been a while since i enjoyed any fast food chicken :).
After brunch we entered the Giant mall, after some casual observation, i came to the conclusion that stocks in the shop was plentiful, the layout was quite spacious. The baby insisted that we buy him a bicycle with the mickey mouse decorations. which he rode all around Giant!!
we arrived there at 10 am and left at 12pm, it looks like its has just started to liven up!

We moved to the mall to survey a new laptop, there was some sort of HSBC expo. I went to one computer dealer and enquired the laptop according to my specs & price range! the sales person said they did not bring the OS cd. feeling a bit disappointed i went to level 2, and enquired there, i got the Laptop and they prepared it to my requirement! excellent service ! further most it cost less then 1K. Without further hesitation i whipped out my Visa & paid the man! I did upgrade the ram from 512 to 1.5GB.
That afternoon, my Father in-law had a Membaca doa arwah, which will likely be held annually.
at night i just tried to configure my linux wireless connection on my new laptop, which was installed by my youngest brother!

saturday,
The first thing i did after i woke up i took a shower and went directly to kuala tutong to cast my fly that i bought yesterday evening at the seria plaza.
Luckily the wife reminded me of my appointment with the hospital lab to collect samples of my blood, which requires me to fast 12hrs prior to collection of the blood sample.
I went to explore 4 locations, the first was at the very end of kuala tutong, second near the tutong beach at the end of retaining wall, third was near the grandstand. Lastly was at the end of the pengasing river.

The flies was excellent my casting strokes was consistent. 9 o'clock i was really hungry and exhausted so i headed home to freshen up and then go to the hospital.

Upon arrival at home i discovered the baby joined my mum n ucu to the hospital to collect grandma's monthly medicine prescription and in the car the baby kept asking for a cake, which later was bought for him.

I headed to the hospital lab with the baby, luckily today they had 3 person taking blood samples and it just took me 5 minutes of waiting time.

After settling my blood sampling we had breakfast at jolibee again.

The afternoon i went fishing again, still no fish was harmed during this session. We just stayed at home at night and dinner was tapau from the pasar malam.

Just managed to update u guys on what happened after the Hua Ho Session! Well that afternoon the baby was still sleeping and we went to the mouth of the Tutong river! haziq did some soft plastic casting, while yours truly honed my Fly casting skills!

Its Sunday again,
We had breakfast at K.K.Koya restaurant! it been a while since our last breakfast there, i had Murtabak Kosong atas telur with mutton curry. The mutton curry in KK Koya is excellent, Nyummm!!After Breakfast we went to watch the Telbru roadshow at the Petani Mall, There were lots of activities going on. the baby was running around the mall also while i just took random shots of the happenings around the area.
After the baby got bored of the happenings at the Roadshow, we entered Hua Ho , did some shopping . The baby was shopping for shirts which was from the TV show at the "Playhouse disney". He got the Thomas & friends & the Bob the Builder t shirts. Abang Haziq also bought 2 pair of shorts & a t-shirt for home! Almost all of our acquaintances that we met told us that the baby was active, Bibiran & best of all "nda takut Orang". I did met one of my old colleagues, he is now employed at TelBru, married & have 2 kids already!

The baby also fell asleep in the trolley! after being too tired of running around hua ho.

Hi there, Its Saturday, and I just woke up! sat down in front of my trusty PC and started browsing the Internet. Last Wednesday i went to seria fishing supply shop with amirul,after having lunch at loi fatt! I realized that the fly fishing scene have already caught up in Asia. In 2002 people thought i was nuts trying to fly fish in brunei. Suddenly there was guys from the district's office who came regarding our complain of 4 puppies was terrorizing our garage, actually they were really cute, I do not have the heart to hurt them , that was why we called for help! Tanks to the district office animal control team!

Had breakfast at jolibee with the baby. We had chicken strips with rice and 2 basic burgers. After breakfast we went to Hua Ho, the baby bought new sandals n a mickey mouse sweater.while walking in hua ho he was also listening to the 'postman pat' theme song over n over again on my e61i.

In the afternoon I finally managed to polish up on my fly casting techniques. Until it was time to pickup haziq from his ugama school. We had dinner with haziq at the easy way, i ordered sweet n sour chicken, haziq ordered baby kailan, my wife ordered lamb cutlets! Well its time to enjoy our dinner see ya!

Something Happened during my dinner at the easy way Tutong, I encountered a foreign object in the lamb cutlets. it was a small piece from a wire scrub (maybe brillo). Guys please do not order the lamb if you are in easyway!!

Sunday,
My Mrs n me rode to the mall to collect the glasses she made yesterday, she was very please with the outcome of the new glasses which was 1/2 tinted. We had lunch and waited for amirul, after he arrived we rode to kota batu and checked out the fishing spot along the kota batu road and back tutong around 1pm.
The afternoon we rode to the civic center parking space where there was a bike show, after the bike show we rode to Tutong beach, relaxed for a while, finally we moved back to JB. Went home at 8pm

Saturday,
did nothing in the morning x-cept lazed around with the Mrs.in the afternoon we went to Bandar with the kids' yeah we gave haziq a special excuse. We arrived at the Gadong mall & the 1st thing we did was dropped by standard optics to make my spare pair of glasses but alas, the frame that i wanted wa already sold. Feeling disgusted, I "lepas geram" by choosing a new sunglass for my lovely wife, I chose for her the biggest frame for her pillion riding duties. While waiting for the glasses, we browsed the mall and suddenly there was darkness! I decided to go back home n collect th glasses tomorrow! If we have waited any further we still would not have gotten the glasses because sources said the affected areas are mainly in BSB n gadong, they could only recover at 10pm.

Friday,
Brought the kids for breakfast at the usual place which is the sungai basong recreational park restaurant. The baby played around in the parked car and when i tried to start up the car, presto! the radio was on. I was thinking maybe this boy was like the boy named micah who can fix things in heroes!
after the friday prayers, kulin said he wanted to go riding, i did not answered him & just simply pointed to gloomy skies, he just replied it will clear up at 4pm later, which did not really happened! Better luck next time! Still no riding today, my eyes would not permit me to do so!

Wednesday,
last day of my sick leave and the start of my wife's sick leave. My eyes are still red and my left eye started to turn red! I guess will have to continue my sick leave. I do not want to go to the hospital to extend my sick leave, i guess i will just take my annual leave.

Hey guys,
Its the second day of my "sick leave", just arrived home with the baby after bringing him out for breakfast at the sungai basong restaurant, we had Roti Kosong Plastar with the Rendang gravy, actually we had two because of the yumminess combination :) u guys should try it sometimes!
Before breakfast we went to the pengasing beach to watch the waves crash, i dunno why perhaps the baby finds it therapeuticlly soothing or he just loves huge bodies of water! Along the way he was also very please to spot a few excavators (he calls them kobelco), busses (he now can differentiate between a bus and a Van). On the way home we dropped by Jolibee to get ourselves icecream, actually its a reward for the baby for taking his antibiotics!.
My throat seems to be less swollen today after an ice water drinking regime yesterday.
Oh yeah i am also learning how to edit my pictures in linux using the GIMP editor!, its like using Ph0tos0hp but its free (Freely distributed in the linux platform)!

Monday,
Waked up dazed , we directly went to the Tutong hospital to bring the baby & the daddy for a medical checkup, the baby was given a small bandage for a Boil (Bisul) under his right arm i think this is the factor that made him feverish and extra moody! The daddy was also given 3 days sick leave! The dr was afraid i might spread the "red eyes" to the whole office, oh yeah my right eye is constantly crying hahahaha and red. Actually i have been hiding this fever for 1 week until finally succumbing and seeking medical help!
The after noon we went to the Tutong beach, i promised the baby earlier after he took his antibiotics.
Sunday,
Wake up early before seven and messaged emel and dazlyn to confirm if the ride we planned is on! at 8am they responded and i got ready for the ride by eating panadol!
We started riding to tanjung bunut foodcourt to have breakfast! during breakfast i realised how beautiful the new Superglide was! with lots of chrome & not so radical design, it was "just right". After breakfast we rode through lamunin and landed at the Tutong beach to drink some refreshments and by the time it was already midday! no wonder the weather was scorching hot!
The afternoon we go a SMS from zulidin saying about a sunset ride! so we met up at JB around 5ish! pete was there, so i pestered him to get his bike and join the ride!
With 9 bikes we ride to the tutong beach again. Emel, Zul, Dazlyn, pete, Wan, emin, Haslan, Jesse Boy and my self. after the beach we rode to telisai and made a stopover at the gerai there we drank coconut juice & ate Tungking.

Saturday,

Hey there,
Its saturday again, did practically nothing today just sat in front of my desktop. for the whole morning. Last few day i got the IRC client for Ubuntu running! yeah Now i can start collecting music again! This is the 2nd attempt to install the counterstrike for the linux without sucess, It really sux!
Finished downloading the new bryan adams 2008 album, Mario (the old one), Ne-yo latest and now to the heavier stuff, The cavalera Conspiracy & in progress Soulfly!
Currently my throat is Hurting with a swollen tonsil, watery eyes & running nose! Tried paracetemol, Strepsil, dequadin and now the final resort would be lots of plain water.
I am craving to go fishing, its been like nearly 1 year since i wet my fishing line. during which i have bought 2 new packets of soft plastic lures!
Will finish this post tomorrow!

Hi there guys!
Disappointment, yes i was really disappointed today after nearly 3 months in my new position, Today i found out that my actual position was "Planner Analyst Assistant" not the "Trainee Planning Engineer" as what they reported in the Jan 2008 monthly report! This kinda sux, It spoiled my whole day!
Anyways, i can still live with that! Life still goes on!

This issue will fuel my struggle to reach my career goal! all my cuzzies reading my blog, this is the cold hard truth of business politics in Brunei.
If one day, you guys are employed but your education does not meet the quota required to sit in the position given you just have your career experience to back you up, be prepared to be bullied in a "politically correct" way especially if your stakeholder is a person with high "ranks" amongst Bruneians, your bosses are non-locals!

One word of advise, while u still have the chance to get your education, go for the highest you can achieve and give the corporate bullies a bashing that they deserve! :P

Yes,
after 4 days of non activity, its alive again, added the links to my lil cuzzie's blog! Actually i have nothing to blog about today. Updated the song thats playing .. ehehehe.
Anyways today, me and my three cousins went riding to BSB for break fast at Jing Chew! After which we made a very far U-turn at Jerudong before stopping over at the hutan simpan berakas beach! never been there for almost 2 years and the changes is excellent! only managed to take pictures of our bikes there! hehehehe
Actually th highlight of the stop over at the location was the place was full of speed humps! and one of my cousin was using a borrowed x-tra lowered bike Dragstar 650, I am telling u guys interested in buying a new bike, DO NOT lower the bike if you plan to ride it regularly!

After resting with 2 cigarettes, we started to move to the Harley dealership in Brunei. I was mesmerized by the beauty of the Street Glide! Maybe i will get myself one! Check it out!! Oh yeah this Pict is from the harley website!

Hey there,
Not really feeling well since yesterday, knocked off work at noon. This morning i still have the flu, my head was still drowsy even after i ate the medicines. The baby was still abit warm today. This afternoon my mom, the baby and his nanny went to bukit beruang to my sister's place. I must apologize for the low quality posting, due to our sole service provider espeed is down since last Thursday! Bravo telbru for the not so excellent and fast response in resolving this issue. Yeah right! What big company do not have a backup router/server? C'mon telbru, u know that are the sole broadband provider in Brunei, the consumers expect flawless service if u charge us 68 + 17 per month.
Having no Internet for 3 days now, i tried to contain my boredom by watching the episodes of bionic woman from episodes 2-8. At night as usual every Saturday night we would go to my in-laws place to play bingo!

Woke up late again today, well its a sunday anyways! Did practically nothing today had a macaroni brunch + black coffee brunch and familiarize the linux os, the development of linux after all these years is very obvious. In the afternoon we went to Hua ho to get the weekly groceries with the baby and haziq, Canned Curry mutton and buttered String beans quickly became the menu of the day. After the early dinner (late Lunch) we went to the tutong beach and JB afterwards.

Saturday night,
As usual saturday night is Bingo night at my in-laws, This week the menu for dinner was Barbecued Wings, Lambchops, Stingray and i added Pineapple!
There was also a Sliding bouncer with the pool below! Looks fun but the memory from the last 3 year was "Body ache" for nearly 1 week! so i just sat there and watched the kids play. The Baby also slid down and climbed back up by himself, to tell u the truth, i was impressed by the baby's strong will, as a reminder he have just turned 2! and i assume the slide bouncer is for kids 5years up! he played when its was dry and also played when it was filled with water! Unfortunately i did not bring my camera!

The time of the week i lounge around, This week ia am tweaking my Linux System!
Mp3s play perfectly (listening to an old "Wings" Album "Hukum Karma"), websites load perfectly & fast, pictures edited more quickly (got to learn how to compress pictures though!), my i pod is also synchronised, Learned to transfer pictures using the bluetooth device! Next, will try to install nokia pc suite & counter strike using "Wine".

Nothing much to blog about today, The scooter started fine after 13 days without running her! also used her to send haziq to ugama school!

Hey there guys!
Got round to do the experimentation with linux! Yeah guys i finally managed to install the Ubuntu OS, ehehehehe An i think i crashed my Vista, meaning all my mp3zs & movies are gone. But the best part is this version of linux was a very easy install, compared to the last version of linux that i experimented way back in 1996! and my whole system also crashed becoz i installed a package that was conflicting!
After 12 year from my 1st failure, finally got the courage to install thie stable version. At the moment my rating for this version of "Free Linux" is execllent.
I am now blogging using this OS. It is very stable... The task remains is to get back the media files that i lost during the initial installation!

Sunday,
Woke up and immediately washed my bike, It was great that my wife was there to help me scrub the whitewall tyres while i did the rest. After letting the bike dry, we started to ride to BSB to check out the Computer expo that is happening at the Gadong Mall. On the way we stopped by at BM supply, i did managed to ask for the whitewall Metzelers, the bridgestones that i am currently using is slippery in the rain. Had lunch at the mall! again i ate the Spare ribs soup :). Oh! I finally got to making another spec with a new frame! After the mall, we went back to tutong! and stopped by at JB, Looking for the owner! :)
Anyways when we returned home, the baby was glued to us, Had dinner by buying "nasi katok" at penanjong & the guy who packed the rice forgot to include the sambal, but the fried chicken was superbly cooked so no sambal mean no matter, Still Edible!

Saturday,
Today was the day we brought the baby to the clinic for his annual checkup. He turned 2 last Thursday, the 27Th march! The nurse attending the baby said he was talkative, active and his BMI is balanced! ALHAMDULILLAH. His vital stats was : Weight 12.2Kg and his height was 85.9cm compared to his birth weight 2.55kg. After the clinic we went to the immigrations office in tutong, My wife's "Borneo only" passport was ready for collection. Borneo destinations here we come!
The afternoon we just stayed at home, Adee & family was also at home, i did my research and confirmed that the Ubuntu version of linux can be run on adee's old Pentium III machine!
At night we went to my in-laws, there was the usual weekend family gathering, the played the friendly game of bingo! while at that night alone i managed to draw using henna 7 sets of hands!! by the end of the night my eyes were red and my head spinning!!

Last Tuesday was also Haziq's 12th birthday,
We celebrated at home, with some cake & Doa. My wife also brought him to make his IC! and also to submit her Passport application with the baby as her dependent.

Last day of my Annual leave today!

Woke up and the wife is already downstairs, awaiting for her friend to fetch her for their outing.
Well I called up emel to co reconfirm the our trip to the Harley dealer.
Arrived at the harley dealer, saw lot of bikes but the one that caught my eyes was the anniversary bike! With lots of touring accessories!

The wife was having lunch with her friends so we waited until nearly 1 pm to give her ample time, we moved from the Harley Dealer at nearly 1pm searched for food at Ideal in serusop, the placed was packed!! so we decided to try the other branch at BSB near the yayasan building! The place was practically deserted! so i ate the white spaghetti & the cheese flavoured Chips! Messaged the wife again, but it no reply! after which i received call saying that she is still at kiulap mall!

Well i decided she does not want to be disturbed while she was with her friends!! We checked out the kawasaki dealer, to my dismay the Z1000 is out of stock! Well at least all of my errands for today is done, we started to travel back to Tutong.

Arrived home the baby was sleeping! It now 5:45 pm an the wife have not called yet!
